  • Model and document business processes, workflows, and user journeys using techniques such as process maps, value stream maps, and storyboards.
  • Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, and understood by both business and technical stakeholders
  • Identify and communicate dependencies, process gaps, issues, risks and opportunities for improvement during the analysis process.

  • Liaise with subject matter experts, vendor representatives, and internal stakeholders to gather knowledge and insight.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussion forums with both technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions with relevant teams to ensure understanding and continuity.

Who we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally working with data, analytics or engineering environments. You will have proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex product or systems environments.
  • Proven track record in producing high‑quality documentation, data specifications, requirements gathering, and delivering business analysis outcomes.
  • Prior experience in product/technology delivery, ideally in an Agile environment.
  • A passion for documentation with the ability to clearly distill complex concepts for varied audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as pedantic attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation abilities, with experience in knowledge transfer.
  • Deep interest in data and its practical application to solve business problems.
  • Familiarity with programming concepts and system architecture.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and maintain productive relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, and deliver outcomes within set timeframes
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, IT, or related discipline are desirable

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
