We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Group Operations Finance team. In this operational role, you will be responsible for supporting the invoice-to-cash process, including tracking and recording customer payments, generating invoices, and managing customer accounts. Key Responsibilities:
You will manage daily bank reconciliations, allocate payments to customer accounts, and raise/send invoices. You'll process credit memos, refunds, and track overdue invoices. Additionally, you’ll issue month-end aged debtors reports and provide debtor analysis, including aged balances, collection days, and bad debts. You will support the business in resolving debtor queries and disputes. As a back-up for Accounts Payable, you'll handle invoice payments, employee expenses, and payment runs. You’ll also prepare balance sheet reconciliations for Accounts Receivable and Cash function as needed.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- CA/CPA qualified or actively pursuing certification.
- Relevant experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Independent, adaptable, and focused on achieving business objectives.
- Strong organisational, planning, and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with Finance and business stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise and make decisions within appropriate delegations.
