Our Finance team has a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team!

In this role you'll be responsible for:
- Responding to financial inquiries from internal stakeholders to support business decisions.
- Examining financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reviewing ageing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), taking appropriate actions to enhance financial reporting accuracy.
- Managing Prepayment on Stock accounts, collaborating with the Purchasing team to ensure accurate valuation of stock in transit.
- Supporting the month-end closing process, including expense accruals, and prepare bank, gateway, and credit card (Airwallex) reconciliations.
- Assisting with monthly intercompany recharges and BAS returns preparation.
- Contributing to the annual budgeting process.
- Participating in half-year and year-end audits and statutory reporting.
- Collaborating with the broader Finance team and internal stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you should be:
- A university degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar)
- Be working towards a professional qualification such as CA or CPA (partially qualified candidates are encouraged to apply)
- Some experience working within Finance or Accounting, ideally in Retail, eCommerce, or FMCG
- Familiarity with accounting software (experience with SAP is advantageous)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and pivot tables
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
