The Opportunity

The Workforce Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the effective deployment of labour across the business by developing and maintaining optimised rosters aligned to operational demand. This role partners closely with operational leaders to balance workforce efficiency, cost management, and service delivery, using data-driven insights to support decision-making. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the Workforce Planner ensures resource allocation is agile, accurate, and compliant with enterprise agreements and legislative requirements.

This is an 8 Month Max Term Opportunity.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain optimised rosters aligned to operational demand, service levels, and labour budgets

  • Manage real-time workforce changes, including shift adjustments, absence backfill, and staffing reallocations

  • Analyse workforce data to identify trends and drive improvements in productivity, cost, and efficiency

  • Collaborate with operational leaders to forecast staffing needs and resolve rostering challenges

  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreements, labour legislation, and internal policies

  • Maintain accurate workforce data, reporting, and system records to support decision-making

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in workforce planning, rostering, or scheduling within a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Strong analytical capability with experience using data to inform workforce decisions

  • Proficiency in workforce management systems (e.g. Virtual Roster or similar) and advanced Excel skills

  • Solid understanding of labour legislation, compliance requirements, and enterprise agreements

  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple teams

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing demands
