Leading the way: Venue Manager | Halswell

Our number one priority right now is finding the right Venue Manager for Halswell. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially sharp, hands-on leader who wants full ownership of a venue, backed by a supportive team and genuine career progression.

  • OTE $129,000–$134,000 (base salary + Super + KPI bonus) — so the wins keep coming all year

If Venue Manager isn't the right fit just yet, we've got plenty of other ways to grow with us across our Christchurch venues.

We've got Duty Manager and Assistant Venue Manager openings across our Christchurch venues, including Carlton Bar, Casa Publica, The Bog, The Town and more. Duty Manager pay sits between $28–$30 per hour. A Duty Manager certificate is required, but if you don't have one yet, don't let that stop you — you can start as a Supervisor and work towards it with our support. Step up to Assistant Venue Manager and you'll pick up a bonus structure of $5,000 p.a., paid quarterly, on top of your base.

What you'll need
  • Previous hospitality management experience relevant to the level of the role you are applying for. Venue Manager applicants must have previous venue management experience.

  • Duty Manager certificate (required for all management roles)

  • Strong commercial understanding — comfortable with rosters, budgets and reporting

  • A hands-on, get-stuck-in attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality

  • Confidence leading and motivating a team

  • Availability across a 7-day roster, including nights and weekends
