About the opportunity
As the Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of transformation initiatives to transform supply chain operations.
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Supply Chain & Commercial, you will lead research and analysis of supply chain processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will develop and implement strategic initiatives focused on process optimisation, technology integration, and automation. This includes deploying a mix of pre-defined platforms such as Aeroxchange and ValStream, as well as bespoke systems like Workflow Management, EZstock, and enhancements to TRAX.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Conducting research, trend analysis, and data modelling of supply activities.
- Documenting current systems and processes while applying market insights to identify best practices and efficiencies.
- Collaborating with the Project Manager to plan deliverables, timelines, and resources.
- Monitoring risks, developing mitigation strategies, and reporting progress throughout all project phases.
- Coordinating software implementation and evaluating integration risks across processes.
- Updating manuals and user guides and establishing frameworks for digital systems in partnership with data analysts.
- Ensuring compliance with Jetstar policies and customer service standards.
To be successful in this role, ideally you’ll have:
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain (preferred) with 5+ years’ experience in supply chain and ideally 3+ years in aviation.
- Strong lateral thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- High integrity, commitment, and a methodical, analytical approach to work.
- Skilled in process design and continuous improvement, with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Highly skilled in the use of digital tools and software, highly motivated, punctual, and reliable.

You will operate across both business-wide and task-level activities, coordinating projects and supporting teams to achieve program outcomes. A strong focus on data and technology adaptation is essential, along with the ability to develop solutions, improve processes, and deliver training. Success in this role demands lateral thinking, resilience under pressure, and a commitment to meeting deadlines with integrity and professionalism.
