About the role
This is a senior leadership position responsible for elevating our partner strategy, strengthening performance, and driving commercial outcomes across a portfolio of key national retailers.
You will lead a team of Strategic Partnership Leads while also directly managing a select group of high‑value or complex partners, setting the standard for excellence in partner performance, governance, and executive engagement.
This role is ideal for someone who blends strong commercial capability with strategic thinking, leadership maturity, and the ability to influence at executive levels across multiple organisations.
Responsibilities:
- Drive commercial performance across your own partners and those managed by Strategic Partnership Leads, including joint business plan quality, strategic planning, and long‑term portfolio growth.
- Lead, coach, and develop Strategic Partnership Leads, ensuring consistent partner management, capability uplift, and strong performance standards across the team.
- Personally manage a select group of high‑value partners, modelling excellence in strategic account leadership, governance, negotiation, and cross‑functional coordination.
- Build and maintain senior executive relationships across partner organisations and internal teams, guiding high‑level alignment, decision‑making, and escalations.
- Lead governance, risk and compliance frameworks across the Strategic Partnerships portfolio, including performance reviews, risk mitigation, and oversight of remediation programs.
- Own cross‑functional delivery by influencing prioritisation, holding teams accountable, and ensuring effective execution across Product, Marketing, Operations, Risk, and Finance.
- Oversee insights, reporting, and forecasting, ensuring accuracy, clear partner narratives, and data‑driven action plans across the portfolio.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven success leading national retail partnerships or large commercial accounts.
- People leadership experience, with a focus on capability uplift and team performance.
- Strong commercial acumen across pricing, P&L, and strategic planning.
- Executive‑level communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience working in consumer finance, payments, retail, or another regulated environment.
- Demonstrated ability to embed governance, risk, and operational best practices at scale
