The Opportunity

This is a 9-month fixed-term contract and you can work from anywhere in Australia.


You’ll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies and solve complex engineering challenges.


You’ll work across multiple business domains, develop technical architecture solutions and support the delivery of high-quality software. You’ll also share your expertise with team members and collaborate with colleagues across different locations.

What you’ll do

  • Design and build Java and Spring Boot applications using microservice architecture.
  • Develop secure, scalable and high-performing technical solutions across integrated systems.
  • Support the full development lifecycle, including configuration, development, testing and production support.
  • Explain technical options, trade-offs and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Coach team members and contribute to quality documentation and delivery.

 

About you

You’ll bring:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot, microservices and design patterns.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, Linux and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins or Bamboo.
  • Experience designing secure, scalable and fault-tolerant cloud solutions.
  • Good communication skills, sound judgement and a strong sense of accountability for delivery.
  • Degree-level qualifications in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related IT discipline.

Experience with AWS, Salesforce, Apex, authentication and authorisation, or API gateways such as APIGEE or Nginx will be highly regarded.
