The role

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will deliver high quality, practical and commercial legal advice across the organisation, supporting optimal decision making. You will drive complex legal matters end‑to‑end and partner with stakeholders to navigate risk while enabling business outcomes.

  • Deliver expert legal advice across superannuation, financial services and trust law
  • Advise on disclosure materials including PDS, marketing and member communications
  • Manage complaints and disputes, including strategy, documentation and stakeholder liaison
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify legal risks and provide pragmatic solutions
  • Support regulatory enquiries, investigations and policy initiatives
  • Influence outcomes through clear guidance and stakeholder engagement

About you

You are a trusted legal professional who combines deep technical expertise with a commercial, risk‑based approach. You build credibility through clear advice and strong stakeholder relationships, influencing outcomes in complex environments.

  • Qualified lawyer with 7+ years’ relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial services and superannuation law is highly desirable 
  • Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives
  • Proven problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Approachable, pragmatic and collaborative working style
