About the role  

We’re seeking a senior organisational development professional in either Melbourne or Sydney, who has a strong track record in delivering high impact leadership development initiatives tied to strategy and culture ambitions.  

This role requires deep leadership development expertise combined with an openness and curiosity to exploring possibilities that make sense in Transurban’s context. 

You’d be joining a small and nimble team that works at pace, contributing to strategic design challenges that help ensure our future organisational capability and culture matches our ambitions.  

As a global role, you will have the opportunity to shape the leadership and capability agenda for our workforce across Australia and North America.

Day-to-day, you will:  

  • Design and deliver leadership development programs and forums to embed leadership expectations and mindsets required for organisational growth 

  • Leverage data to develop insights on workforce capability required to deliver on future strategic and operational outcomes, with considerations including the influence of automation and digitisation 

  • Partner with leaders across the business on developing organisational capabilities and embedding a refreshed purpose and values 

  • Provide thought leadership that combines a deep understanding of leadership and capability research with real world context  

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including:  

  • Significant experience in developing leaders at both senior and frontline levels through development and delivery of strategic programs and initiatives in large or mid-sized companies 

  • Experience in providing effective strategic insight and input, combined with an understanding of commercial impacts  

  • Experience in leading capability and culture change in a complex organisational system 

  • Preferably, qualifications in organisational psychology or similar, creating the foundation of knowledge and skills in leadership and capability  

  • Impactful influencing and facilitation skills and experience. Thrives in navigating complexity and driving practical solutions.
