Role description: 

Arcadis is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Cost Manager to join our expanding VIC Cost and Commercial Management team supporting the delivery of multiple commissions and contributing to the success of our projects within the Property sector.

We have a growing portfolio of diverse and impactful projects and are therefore looking for an experience project leader to support the ongoing enhancement of our service delivery. We are demonstrable strength in the delivery of projects in the Social Infrastructure, Build to Rent, Energy and Data Centre sectors, and experience in any of these would be considered a distinct advantage.

Reporting directly to the one of our experienced and talented Associate Directors, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the property sectors. 

Role accountabilities:
  • Leading the preparation of cost plans estimates at all stages of the design process.
  • Leading the delivery of services on projects from initial inception through to completion.
  • Undertaking cost control activities during the construction phase of projects through the delivery of progress claim assessments and recommendations, assessing contract variations, and the preparation of cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
  • Participating in risk management, value management and optioneering workshops as may be required; 
  • Working closely with and communicating with the internal and external teams to address issues or concerns as they arise. 
  • Helping the Cost and Commercial Management team to establish and work within agreed parameters and procedures. 
  • Leading the development of the Arcadis Cost and Commercial Management offering in a client-facing role, through the delivery of services to a high quality.

Delivering commissions within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations, while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality.

Qualification & Experience: 

If you are an experienced Senior Cost Manager or Senior Civil Estimator with a passion for delivering high-quality for Property, Health, Education & Research and Data Centre projects, we want to hear from you!

To thrive in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • A passion for transforming the world around you and improving the quality of life.
  • A relevant degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying related areas.
  • Professional qualification with either the AIQS or RICS would be considered an advantage,
  • Demonstrated experience working in consultancy on large-scale projects within the Property Sector.  Direct experience working on projects in the Social Infrastructure, Residential or Data Centre sectors would be considered an advantage.
  • Strong expertise in infrastructure cost management, including the use of software applications such as CostX, and @Risk (preferred but not essential).
  • Minimum 6 – 10 years of post-qualified experience in a similar role.
  • An innovative mindset, with a drive to challenge the status quo and deliver exceptional results.
  • Outstanding teamwork and collaboration skills, fostering a culture where everyone can grow, perform, and succeed.
