Role description: 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager specialising in Engineering Services (MEP) to join our Cost and Commercial Management Team in leading the delivery of multiple commissions and supporting our local teams across the infrastructure and data centre sectors. Reporting directly to the Associate Director (Engineering Services Lead), we are looking for someone with drive and ambition who has deep technical expertise in MEP cost management and a track record of delivering high-performing outcomes.

Role accountabilities:

Specific experience with complex building services, critical environment infrastructure, hyperscale data centres, energy systems, and mechanical/electrical reticulation is strongly desired. You will contribute to medium and large-scale projects and programs, with opportunities.

Your role will include but will not be limited to:

· Supporting the development of the Arcadis Cost and Commercial Management (MEP) offering in a client-facing role, through high-quality service delivery.

· Delivering sound and effective commercial management and quantity surveying services, leading by example to achieve company goals and championing a people-first culture.

· Supporting proposals, client briefs, and project execution plans whilst collaborating with project and business stakeholders including engineering partners.

· Delivering commissions within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations, while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality.
Qualification & Experience:

You have a passion for sharing your knowledge and experience within a team striving for high performance outcomes. You will come to us with: · A relevant degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying, supported by engineering services-related qualifications – Tertiary Education is preferred but not essential.

· Demonstrated consultancy experience in engineering services cost management within infrastructure, data centres, energy systems or complex building projects.

· Experience with MEP cost planning, estimating, procurement, benchmarking and technical risk assessments across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic disciplines.

· A minimum of six years post-qualified experience in a similar role.

· Professional accreditation (RICS and/or AIQS) or a clear commitment to completing this.

· Experience in leading cost management services across a variety of MEP-heavy projects.

· A strong commercial background, including familiarity with contractual conditions and procedures (local and international), and the ability to assess technical and commercial risk.

· An innovation mindset, with the ability to challenge the status quo.
