At Aurecon, Infrastructure Advisory goes beyond traditional consulting. We combine strategy, commercial insight and technical depth to help clients make confident, future-focused investment decisions.

Join a growing national team working at the intersection of strategy, investment and delivery — shaping infrastructure that drives real economic and community impact.

What will you do?

As a Senior Consultant, you’ll play a hands-on role across the full infrastructure lifecycle, from early investment thinking through to delivery. You will:

  • Deliver high-quality advisory across business cases, feasibility studies, due diligence and investment strategies
  • Develop client-ready outputs including option assessments, technical reports and financial models (e.g. CBA, lifecycle and whole-of-life costing)
  • Work across diverse sectors including transport, water, energy, resources, social infrastructure and defence
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across advisory, engineering and design
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Contribute to business growth through opportunity shaping, client engagement and proposal development
  • Support team capability, mentoring junior consultants and contributing to a high-performing, inclusive culture

What are we looking for from you?

We’re seeking commercially minded, curious professionals who thrive in complexity and bring a balance of strategic thinking and delivery focus. You will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. economics, finance, engineering, commerce, planning)
  • Experience in infrastructure advisory, consulting or related environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex inputs into clear, practical advice
  • Well-developed communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects
  • A collaborative, adaptable mindset and commitment to quality outcomes

At Aurecon, we value diverse experiences and perspectives. You’ll be part of a team that’s passionate about shaping better infrastructure outcomes and creating a more inclusive, innovative future.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
