The OpportunityBoeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking an experienced leader to be the MQ-28 Deputy Program Director. This is a unique opportunity to be a large part of one of Australia's most exciting aerospace programs.
This role will be a key leadership role in the team that develops and builds something that matters, and will leave a legacy in Australian Defence capability.

What you'll get to do:
  • This role is responsible for overseeing the execution of the MQ-28 enterprise portfolio spanning flight test, aircraft production, operational variant design and international campaigns.

Responsibilities:
  • Overall Program Manager and delegate for contracts and orders in execution for the MQ-28 Ghost Bat
  • Oversee all international campaign activity for the MQ-28 Ghost Bat to ensure executability and integration of future work into the Enterprise
  • Lead the centralised MQ-28 Program Integration Office, ensuring alignment of priorities, resources, schedules and execution activities across the Enterprise
  • Drive integrated product line execution across development, production, flight test, and operational capability maturation activities to ensure cohesive enterprise delivery outcomes
  • Maintain oversight of enterprise level dependencies, risks and constraints to enable executable commitments and balanced delivery across concurrent programs and campaigns
  • Partner directly with Phantom Works to identify, mature and accelerate future capability insertions, embedding cutting-edge technology into the MQ-28 platform
  • Influence government and policy stakeholders to enable international sales, program growth and co-development partnerships with key allied nations
  • Lead business operations across the MQ-28 Enterprise, embedding lean governance, integrated planning, and performance accountability while retaining start-up level speed and agility.
  • Manage direct customer relationships across executing orders, including with the Royal Australian Air Force

Who we're looking for:
  • Demonstrated experience leading aerospace development programs on a large scale.
  • Demonstrated experience leading programs within Defence or Defence industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Program Management, Engineering, Science or a related field with relevant industry qualifications.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, including interpersonal, presentation, and analysis/reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of team leadership and personnel development.
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility for an Australian Department of Defence security clearance to Secret level and satisfaction of ITAR requirements.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in the aerospace, defence or manufacturing industry.

Leadership Requirements
  • Lead the development and implementation of BDA's integrated MQ28 strategy in alignment with Boeing enterprise policies, and Australian Government frameworks.
  • Advise BDA senior leadership on related risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Foster and promote MQ28 awareness across the organisation, including education and behavioural change.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts.
  • Champion a constructive culture founded on trust, collaboration, and accountability across the program underpinned by the Boeing Values and Behaviours.
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to align BDA operations and strategic priorities with applicable requirements, standards, and best practices.
