We currently have an opportunity for a Regional Operations Manager. Join our Health and Education team and play a key role in leading the safe, compliant and cost-effective delivery of facilities management, maintenance support and cleaning services across an assigned portfolio of Victorian schools. Reporting to the Contract Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

 

Supporting four schools across southeast region (Cranbourne West, Cranbourne North, Clyde North and Pakenham), you'll be a visible leader who builds strong stakeholder relationships while ensuring operational excellence, compliance and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on role requiring regular travel between school sites and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.

 

What You’ll Do 

 

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

 

  • Lead the safe, compliant and cost-effective delivery of facilities management, maintenance and cleaning services across a portfolio of schools. 

  • Manage nine direct reports including School Officers, cleaners and subcontractors to achieve service, safety and quality outcomes. 

  • Drive contract performance through effective planning, scheduling, reporting and KPI management. 

  • Oversee operational budgets, risk management, compliance activities and audit requirements. 

  • Build strong relationships with school stakeholders and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

 

What You’ll Bring 

 

  • Experience leading commercial cleaning, facilities management or maintenance operations within a service-based environment. 

  • Proven people leadership experience including coaching, workforce planning and performance management. 

  • Experience managing contract KPIs, budgets, operational reporting and risk. 

  • Strong knowledge of WHS, quality and compliance requirements. 

  • A current Driver Licence, car and Working with Children Check
