Business Banking (BB) manages relationships with Commonwealth Bank’s small-medium enterprise customers, mid-market corporate customers, and regional and agribusiness customers, providing a wide range of financial services and solutions. It also services our personal and institutional online trading customers.
The Virtual Relationship Management (VRM) Crew is responsible for designing and implementing go to market propositions using Agentic AI approaches which would plug into branch, digital, call centre and RM managed capabilities. This forms the future of AI driven distribution for the Business Bank, and sits with the CCD Domain.
Do work that matters
Reporting into the Crew Lead, you will be responsible for the overall quality of customer facing conversations, generated through the outputs of a multi agent system (MAS) across digital and assisted channels. You will be owning the build and ongoing maintenance of the principal agent ecosystem within the overall MAS for VRM.
We are seeking an influential leader with a track record in mentoring, developing and inspiring high-performance AI teams, you will have a history of promoting an inclusive culture where colleagues are engaged and that they feel proud to be part of. You have a detailed understanding of conversational AI systems and have previously led implementations of generative AI and agentic AI systems.
Furthermore, you will have a demonstrable track record in developing clear AI led product value propositions, market positioning (internal and external), and roadmaps that are directly linked to customer benefits and with clear, sustainable competitive advantages.
Demonstrable Executive level stakeholder management skills will be required to enable the promotion of your team’s ideas, management of conflicting priorities and challenging of other where appropriate, facilitating and gaining consensus through those interactions. An understanding of key considerations in building commercial conversational AI or distribution/channel propositions will be helpful.

Demonstrated people management and leadership experience of high performing AI teams with experience leading projects and delivering change.
A strong understanding of Agentic AI including awareness of key challenges and opportunities and is passionate about improving customer relationship management.
Experience in data science or software engineering and with managing teams responsible for go to market AI deployments
Strong strategic thinking and a drive to get things done. Ability to work on numerous tasks simultaneously.
Detail oriented thinking while still being able to see the bigger picture, with excellent commercial judgement.
Seasoned experience managing senior stakeholders, leading change, delivering clear communications and delivering on a strategic agenda.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
