The Capital & Regulatory Reporting Crew oversees capital and reporting changes, including Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) reporting. Our ESG reporting change team collaborates with the ESG Reporting & Data team to deliver solutions that support the Group’s commitment to Australia’s net zero transition by 2050, by continuing to manage the risks and opportunities of climate change, supporting our customers and calling for an inclusive transition.
Our responsibilities include:
- Ensuring regulatory compliance with capital and reporting standards
- Maintaining capital and reporting systems
- Managing business changes impacting capital and reporting (e.g., new products, system changes, unique transactions)
- Coordinating business engagement, readiness, and technology for APRA changes
- Developing and implementing the ESG reporting engine
- Leveraging Group Strategic Platforms to meet new regulatory capital and reporting requirements

Your role is to support the Crew Lead of Capital & Regulatory Reporting, Chapter Lead of ESG Reporting and the ESG Data and Reporting team in ensuring we can deliver sustainable ESG reporting solutions.
You will work within an experienced team who are responsible for developing and maintaining a climate reporting solution that is aligned with internal and regulatory requirements.
The team operates in Agile, with squads primarily comprised of Finance and Technology SMEs. To successfully perform this role, you will need to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the Group, have a curious mind and a problem solving mindset, and are passionate about delivery.

By balancing trade-offs and exploring innovative strategies, we aim to successfully deliver on business and ESG outcomes through providing accurate and timely information to help inform key decisions made by our investors, customers and business.
- Collaborate for Success: Collaboration is key to our success. We work closely with our business, finance and technology partners, as well as project managers, to ensure seamless delivery of the ESG reporting backlog throughout discovery processes, build, testing, and stakeholder sign-off.
- Address Challenges: We proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers for the squad. We are accountable for addressing impediments, driving decisions, and resolving escalations to keep delivering outcomes.
- Optimal Allocation of Work: By working with chapter leads and the ESG Data and Reporting team, we ensure the optimal allocation of work to squad members and collaborate across squads and business units to achieve ESG reporting outcomes. This helps us maintain high team engagement, efficiency and productivity.
- Adhere to Frameworks and Compliance: We ensure adherence to delivery frameworks and guardrails, and compliance across customer propositions. This includes adhering to architectural guardrails, aligning changes with internal policy, and maintaining compliance with the ESG policy and external regulatory requirements.
- Performance Management: We manage the squad’s performance to defined objectives, ensuring that we consistently deliver high-quality results.
Other qualities you may possess include
- Proven Expertise in Finance, ESG and/or Reporting: We are looking for individuals with demonstrated experience in Finance, ESG and/or Reporting, along with a solid understanding of ESG Reporting requirements.
- Project Delivery Experience: Candidates should have a track record of delivering a broad range of projects from inception to launch, including new product delivery to customers and ensuring data is provisioned for finance, reporting, and preferably ESG requirements.
- Vision to Roadmap Translation: The ability to translate a product vision into technical next steps and backlog is essential.
- Collaborative Planning: We value individuals who can understand and plan the backlog of work by collaborating with product, business, and technical teams, overseeing all stages of the delivery life-cycle, including design, development, and successful implementation in production.
- Matrix Structure Experience: Previous experience working in a matrix structure, demonstrating the ability to balance product ownership with delivery capacity and priorities, is highly desirable.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to quickly prioritise across multiple tasks, are crucial.
- Influence and Stakeholder Management: The ability to influence and deliver outcomes across multiple teams/squads and the confidence to have challenging conversations with stakeholders are key attributes.
- Agile Methodology Experience: Previous experience working in Agile environments, using tools like Jira and/or Confluence, is preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience or exposure to SQL, Ab Initio, Python or equivalent data software is a plus.
