About Wellio

Every young person deserves access to quality wellbeing education, regardless of which school they attend or where they live.

But schools face an enormous challenge. Teachers are being asked to do more to support student wellbeing, while school leaders need better ways to understand what's working and where students need support.

At Wellio, we're working to change that.

We're building a Wellbeing Management System that brings the best of student wellbeing practice into one platform. From curriculum-aligned lessons and planning tools to student surveys and insights, we're helping schools make wellbeing a consistent and measurable part of everyday learning.

And we're growing fast.

Today, more than 1,000 schools, 25,000 teachers and 210,000 students use Wellio across 25 countries. We're on track for our fourth consecutive year of 100% growth.

Our ambition? 50,000 schools. 25 million students. 50 countries.

It's a big goal, and there's still an enormous amount to build. That's what makes this such an exciting time to join us.

About the Role

Our Product team is building new capabilities at an extraordinary pace. We're constantly improving how schools teach wellbeing, understand their students and make better decisions.

But building great products is only half the challenge.

Our product is evolving faster than we're communicating its full value.

Schools don't always know everything Wellio can do, and our teams need better ways to introduce new capabilities, demonstrate their value and help customers put them to use.

That's where you come in.

As our first Product Marketing Manager, you'll help bridge the gap between what we're building and what schools actually experience.

You'll turn important product releases into launches that get noticed and adopted, equip our Sales and Customer Success teams with the messaging, evidence and tools they need, and help existing customers discover more of what Wellio can do.

You'll also play a central role in shaping Wellio's positioning, pricing and packaging as we build towards our vision of a Wellbeing Management System.

This is an opportunity to build product marketing at Wellio from the ground up.

You'll work directly with our Head of Marketing, founders and leaders across Product, Sales and Customer Success. You'll bring customer insights into important decisions and help establish how we take new capabilities to market as we grow.

It's a strategic and hands-on role. You'll help decide what deserves a major launch, what needs a simple customer update and where we can make the biggest difference. Then you'll get involved in bringing it to life, whether that's a campaign, a demo video, a compelling sales story or a new approach to customer adoption.

You'll have genuine ownership, but you won't be doing it alone. You'll work closely with our growing marketing team and partners across the business to prioritise the opportunities that matter most.

And your work will be global from day one, reaching schools across Australia, the UK and international markets.

What You’ll Do1. Product launches and go-to-market
  • Partner with Product to understand what's coming, prioritise releases and develop go-to-market plans for the updates that matter.
  • Own launch messaging, campaigns and assets, from customer emails and landing pages to product walkthroughs and in-product communications.
  • Build a clear rhythm for keeping Sales, Customer Success and Marketing informed about what's live, what's coming and why it matters. Measure the success of launches through customer adoption and commercial outcomes.
2. Customer marketing and adoption
  • Own customer product communications, including newsletters, feature announcements and lifecycle campaigns using Customer.io.
  • Use product and customer data to work with Product and Customer Success on improving onboarding, activation and ongoing adoption, contributing to stronger gross revenue retention (GRR) and net revenue retention (NRR).
  • Turn customer outcomes and independent research into compelling case studies, testimonials, videos and credible proof points that demonstrate Wellio's impact.
3. Sales enablement
  • Create practical sales materials, including pitch decks, event presentations, product demo videos, one-pagers, competitive battlecards, objection handling and email templates, tailored to different markets.
  • Create product updates and sales materials that help our teams re-engage schools that previously said no, showing what's changed and why Wellio deserves another look.
  • Train sales teams on new capabilities, join sales conversations and use win/loss insights to improve our messaging and materials.
4. Positioning and messaging
  • Talk to customers, prospects and schools we've lost to understand why they buy, what holds them back and where they see value.
  • Develop clear positioning, messaging and value propositions for Wellio and our evolving Wellbeing Management System, tailored to different school roles, primary and secondary education, and our international markets.
  • Research competitors, including free alternatives and schools' existing approaches, to sharpen our differentiation and help Sales win.
5. Pricing and packaging
  • Work with leadership, Product and Sales to evolve Wellio's pricing and packaging across markets.
  • Research customer needs, willingness to pay and competitor offerings to identify opportunities to improve conversion, retention and expansion.
  • Develop and evaluate pricing and packaging recommendations using customer research, commercial data and competitor insights, then help Sales and Customer Success communicate the changes effectively.
About You
  • You're commercially minded. You have 4+ years of experience in product marketing or a closely related B2B SaaS role, with hands-on experience in positioning, go-to-market and sales enablement. You understand how these contribute to growth.
  • You understand customers. You know how to uncover what matters to buyers and turn research and feedback into better decisions.
  • You're an excellent communicator. You can simplify complex products, write sharp copy and build presentations and videos that tell a convincing story.
  • You're hands-on. You enjoy creating and shipping the work yourself, not just developing strategies for others to execute.
  • You work well with Sales and Product. You know how to turn product capabilities into compelling reasons to buy and help commercial teams succeed.
  • You're resourceful and AI-fluent. You move quickly, prioritise well and use modern tools to deliver quality work. Our stack includes HubSpot, Customer.io, Canva, Claude and Manus.

Experience in EdTech or multi-market marketing is a plus. Experience contributing to pricing or packaging decisions is highly valued. We don't expect you to have done everything, but we do expect curiosity, good judgment and a willingness to learn.

You'll be based in Sydney or Melbourne, with two days a week in the office.

Why You Should Work Here
  • Build something from the ground up. You'll be our first Product Marketing Manager and a foundational member of our growing marketing team. You'll have the opportunity to shape a function that will play an increasingly important role in Wellio's future.
  • Join at an exciting stage of growth. We're growing rapidly, expanding our platform and investing in the people who will help take Wellio to the next level. There's a huge opportunity to make a meaningful contribution and grow with the business.
  • Make an impact around the world. Your work won't be limited to one market. You'll help schools across Australia, the UK and internationally discover and get more value from Wellio, contributing to better wellbeing education for young people around the world.
  • Work alongside people who've scaled. You'll work with a Head of Marketing who led B2B growth at Canva, experienced product and sales leaders, and founders who are deeply involved in building the business.
  • High standards, low ego, and a global team. We care deeply about our mission and the quality of our work, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. We value transparency, flexibility and strong relationships. We also bring our global team together for gatherings in places like London and Bangkok to plan, connect and have a great time together.

If you're excited by the opportunity to build something from scratch, help shape a fast-growing global company and make a difference in schools around the world, we'd love to hear from you.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
