About the Team

The Product team is responsible day-to-day for the management of existing products, as well as the planning, development and launching of new products.

Carefully managing the commercial drivers of the product to ensure good financial outcomes. Whilst always ensuring the customer is at the centre of everything we do.

About the Role

You will play a key role in managing the success of the Consumer NZ products. Key components of the role are proactive portfolio management and optimisation, leading and managing customer remediation, and assisting in developing and implementing a customer -led product roadmap designed to deliver exceptional customer experiences. As a successful Product Manager, you will be Hummgroup biggest customer advocate and have an unrivalled passion for managing products that customers love.

What Does An Average Day Look Like?

You would be:

  • Actively contributing to the portfolio management of our existing products and key business drivers that will deliver profitable sustainable growth.
  • Supporting the different delivery teams in delivering to the product roadmap.
  • Leading or supporting in the delivery of any operational efficiencies to improve overall business outcomes.
  • Improving customer retention by proactively listening to customers’ feedback and solving pain points through initiative in the product roadmap, creating exceptional customer experiences.
  • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders and be the driving force behind the implementation of the Consumer NZ strategy.
  • Embracing the challenges of the New Zealand regulatory environment and ensuring we never compromise and are compliant at all times.
  • Managing the remediation of incidents to ensure customers are not negatively impacted and Hummgroup remains compliant with external regulators.
  • Creating buy -in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.
  • Developing and implementing ongoing pricing strategies.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of the customer experience, identifying improvements, and generating new ideas that grow market share, improving customer experience and driving sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Scoping and prioritizing new product initiatives and enhancements based on business and customer impact.
  • Driving the delivery of product initiatives and enhancements including working with the sales and technology teams, executives, and other marketing and cards team members.
  • Conducting market and competitive analysis to ensure existing products are optimised to deliver good financial and customer outcomes. Whilst also identifying areas of improvement or new market opportunities. 
  • Acting as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

You must have a curious and positive can-do attitude and can put that to use by driving great customer experiences and profitable growth for humm. You can manage a busy workload and can be relied upon to deliver end-to-end. You are someone who believes in the strength of good relationships.

  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Isn’t afraid to question the way we do things and offer alternate solutions.
  • Is a strong influencer with exceptional stakeholder management.
