Bilingual Engagement & Consulting Manager (Japan) Location: Tokyo, Japan
Experience: 14+ years About the Role We are seeking a bilingual consulting leader who can bridge the gap between client business challenges in Japan and Nagarro's global expertise. This role is less about technology delivery and more about problem framing, solution design, and client engagement. You will work side-by-side with our sales team and business units to uncover opportunities, shape roadmaps, and ensure clients see a clear path from strategy to execution.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consulting & Advisory - Act as the trusted partner to Japanese client executives, advising them on how to translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives.
Lead discovery conversations and workshops to surface business challenges, define problem statements, and co-create solution options.
Understand client industries (manufacturing, automotive, BFSI, life sciences, etc.) and contextualize solutions to their environment.
Solution Structuring
- Convert abstract client needs into structured business problems with clear solution approaches.
- Shape roadmaps that balance business outcomes, cost considerations, and timelines.
- Articulate options that may include digital transformation programs, product/platform adoption, or advisory-led interventions.
- Align with Nagarro's internal business units to ensure solutions leverage the best domain and technical expertise. Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as the primary bilingual interface between Japanese clients and Nagarro's global consulting and delivery teams.
- Facilitate communication across cultures, ensuring clarity, trust, and alignment at all stages. - Manage client expectations, build executive-level relationships, and foster long-term trust. Strategic Insight & Thought Leadership
- Bring perspective on market trends, competitive shifts, and new digital opportunities in Japan.
- Contribute to go-to-market strategy, positioning Nagarro as a partner-of-choice in the region.
- Provide input to marketing and sales teams to craft compelling narratives and proposals.
Qualifications - Language: Native Japanese fluency with strong English proficiency.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. MBA or equivalent consulting experience preferred.
Experience:
o 14+ years across consulting, business analysis, product/solution management, or pre-sales.
o Management consulting or advisory background strongly preferred.
o Proven ability to design and articulate structured solutions to senior executives.
o Familiarity with technology concepts (digital transformation, enterprise IT, product engineering) and ability to bridge these with business needs.
o Strong facilitation, storytelling, and relationship-building skills.
