John Flynn Private Hospital is a 354 bed, acute care hospital located at Tugun, which is on the southern end of the Gold Coast, within 5 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport. The hospital provides services to the population of the Gold Coast and the Tweed Coast extending into the NSW Northern Rivers area.

John Flynn provides a wide range of health care services with a 24 hour emergency department, comprehensive cardiac services, general and orthopaedic surgery, cancer services, medical, maternity and paediatrics, renal dialysis, day surgery and rehabilitation services.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health at John Flynn Private Hospital, Tugun QLD.

About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team across a broad range of clinical areas. Our allied health team provide exceptional care and service, whilst managing patients throughout their journey across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, day patient rehabilitation, community and outpatient settings. The role will involve clinical rotations across a 7-day rotating roster and may cover all clinical areas including orthopaedics, general medical, general surgical, cardiac medical, cardiac surgery, oncology, palliative care, and men’s and women’s health.

You will be supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team committed to high-quality patient care and professional development. 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Relevant Bachelor or equivalent studies of Physiotherapy with current AHPRA registration (or eligibility for registration)
  • Prior experience working in an acute care setting is desirable
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and workloads independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Be willing to contribute to the development and promotion of a cohesive and interactive team.
  • Flexible and positive approach to work
  • Ability and willingness to work across a varied caseload
