Your new role
As a Performance and Insight Manager, you will partner closely with business leaders to translate complex problems into actionable analytics and measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Translate business challenges into analytical frameworks, selecting appropriate tools and methodologies
- Deliver insights through data analysis, modelling and visualisation to support decision making
- Act as a trusted advisor to underwriting, pricing and other key stakeholders, translating insights into clear portfolio performance actions that drive QBE’s strategic ambitions.
- Contribute to the development of a trusted, enterprise‑wide data asset.
- Lead complex analytical projects end-to-end, while managing and developing the team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Effectively prioritise workload and manage competing demands within resource constraints
About you
You are a commercially focused analytics professional who can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and influence stakeholder decision-making across the business. You bring strong technical capability with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
You will also bring:
- Experience in an actuarial, data analytics, data science or similar analytical role
- Strong analytical capability and problem solving skills with a focus on accuracy, clarity and translating insights into practical outcomes.
- Confidence engaging with stakeholders, understanding their needs and communicating insights in a simple, effective way.
- Experience in managing complex analytical projects
- Advanced experience with SQL, Python, reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI and Excel
- Tertiary qualification in Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or a related analytical field (preferred)
