Company Description

Ramsay provides high quality healthcare to millions of people each year through a network of hospitals, clinics and services in Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom.

Job Description

At Ramsay Health Care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for an experienced People Data Analyst to join our People Operations team and help turn workforce data into meaningful insights that support better decisions across our organisation.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of data, but can also explain what the numbers mean, identify trends and gaps, and translate complex information into practical insights for stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

You'll support the People & Culture team with regular, monthly and ad hoc workforce reporting, dashboards and analysis, helping leaders understand our people data and make informed decisions.

Your work will include:

  • Producing HR analytics, dashboards and reporting to support strategic workforce decision-making, management reporting and business requirements.
  • Analysing workforce data across areas including recruitment, turnover, onboarding, compliance, employee engagement and workforce movements.
  • Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of HR data and identifying opportunities to improve data quality, processes and reporting.
  • Auditing HR data against relevant agreements and awards, identifying issues and proactively working to resolve them.
  • Supporting HR systems upgrades, configuration and process improvements.
  • Developing and implementing data integrity practices and protocols across People & Culture.
  • Turning complex data into clear, useful information through analysis, visualisation and presentation.
  • Identifying data gaps and recommending better ways to collect, manage and use workforce information.
  • Responding to workforce-related questions from the business through data analysis and interpretation.
  • Working closely with People & Culture teams and project stakeholders to deliver high-volume reporting accurately and within deadlines.

You'll have the opportunity to work across a broad range of people data, including recruitment efficiency and time-to-hire, turnover, onboarding, compliance, AHPRA registration renewals, Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) reporting and employee engagement.

What you'll bring

We're looking for an analytical thinker who can combine strong technical capability with the ability to communicate insights clearly to a broad range of stakeholders.

You'll ideally bring:

  • 3+ years' experience in an analytics role, ideally within HR, People & Culture, finance or a related discipline.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification - Business Analytics will be highly regarded.
  • Strong numerical reasoning and advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability and confidence working with large and complex datasets.
  • Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools; Power BI experience is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A high level of discretion and integrity when working with confidential employee information.

Experience in healthcare, payroll or postgraduate qualifications is also advantageous.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
