About this opportunity:
We are currently in need of an Environment, Health and Safety Expertise role at Ericsson. This critical position plays a pivotal role in ensuring our company's commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, whilst reducing our environmental footprint. The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing and enhancing our EHS policies and programs, as well as promoting a culture of sustainability and wellness among all employees.
What will you do
• Maintain and operate the local OHS organizational structure in accordance with SAPA and the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
• Operate and coordinate the Occupational Safety and Health Committee; prepare agendas, implement committee decisions, and track follow-ups.
• Develop, update and maintain Safety and Health Management Regulations, policies and local procedures.
• Serve as or prepare to serve as the workplace Safety Manager and/or Health Manager under the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory reports and documentation to relevant authorities.
• Lead and coordinate risk assessment activities across sites and departments.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits and site visits; identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses and incidents; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective action plans.
• Maintain and report accident and incident statistics; identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement the local safety training plan and deliver mandatory OHS training.
• Manage contractor pre-qualification, OHS assessments and ensure contractor compliance with company and legal requirements.
• Implement and manage the OHS Management System (OHSMS) in alignment with global EHS requirements (ISO 45001 principles).
• Support internal and external audits and corrective action implementation.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including management, authorities and contractors.
• Provide regular OHS performance reporting and KPI updates to management.
• Health Manager certification under Korean law required (may be obtained after employment if not already held).
• International OHS certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH) or ISO-related training is advantageous.
The skills you bring
• Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental/Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related field; OR
• National certification equivalent such as Industrial Safety Engineer ( 산업안전기사 ), Construction Safety Engineer ( 건설안전기사 ), Industrial Health Engineer ( 산업보건기사 ), or equivalent.
• Safety Manager or Health Manager certification under Korean law required (may be obtained after employment if not already held).
• International OHS certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH) or ISO-related training is advantageous.
• 2-3 years in occupational health and safety roles preferred; candidates with greater experience in safety management or hazardous operations will be advantaged.
• Experience in telecommunications infrastructure, construction, or similar industries preferred.
• Experience working within matrix organizations or multi-stakeholder environments preferred.
Skills & competencies
• Strong coordination, stakeholder management and communication skills in Korean and English.
• Solid organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and prepare clear technical reports.
• Proactive, pragmatic approach to continuous improvement and change management.
