We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team at our Ballarat Prepared Foods site. You will be working as part of the Maintenance team, providing support to ensure optimal plant performance.
About the Role

  • Responsible for completion of planned and unplanned maintenance work in a timely manner.
  • Work alongside the production teams to ensure maximum availability and efficiency of our production facility.
  • Respond to breakdown calls during your shift to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
  • Participate in the maintenance programs through SAP that includes preventative, corrective and breakdown responses.
  • Working on a 12-hour rotation roster. Shift allowances and overtime are remunerated accordingly for a competitive salary.


About You
We are looking an individual who will be on the tools and has

  • Able to work in a rotating roster, overtime and shift work!
  • Relevant Australian Trade Qualifications or Trade Recognition - Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter, Fitter/Machinist;
  • Experience and/or qualifications in Hydraulics and Pneumatics
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive in investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems/processes;
  • Excellent communication skills, able to relate to other departments and individuals and
  • Good computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
