About the role

We’re seeking a creative and data-driven Marketing Events and Communications Specialist to deliver high-impact events and campaigns that engage audiences, amplify our brand, and drive measurable business growth.

This role sits at the intersection of marketing, events, and communications strategy — ideal for someone who loves bringing ideas to life through experiences, content, and storytelling that convert. You’ll craft meaningful connections between our brand, customers, and partners through compelling events, campaigns, and communications initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Deliver high-impact events that engage and drive conversion to sales opportunities. You will know all the mechanics for driving attendance, amplifying the event, and building engagement.
  • Creating compelling event content that elevates our brand through thought leadership and brings our products to life through engaging educational sessions that drive engagement and pipeline.
  • Take our ideal customer profiles and build target lists to fuel events, digital outreach and account-based marketing via LinkedIn and social media.
  • Build great customer and partner relationships to drive customer case studies, insights, and event engagement.
  • Build effective lead mechanics (creating high-conversion event attendance as a starter).
  • Analyze data, craft compelling messages, and drive program adoption.
  • Deliver high-impact presentations and content for use by our team and our partners.
  • Forge high-utility relationships with the marketing and sales organisation, maintain a two-way partnership to share insights, level-up sales conversations, and create best-in-class enablement.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in a growth company and revenue-driven marketing organization.
  • Experience with customer events, social activation and amplification, and lead generation.
  • Proven experience organising and managing live (and increasingly hybrid/virtual) events: venue logistics, travel, AV, sponsorship, on-site staffing.
  • Demonstrable experience in using AI to generate content, video, and images.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Experience with Hubspot and its integrations, campaign automation, digital marketing campaigns, and audience segmentation.
  • An understanding of modern marketing automation systems like Active Campaign.
  • You’ll have used ChatGPT, Canva, Figma, and other AI-centric tools to generate content.
  • Effective organic account-based marketing, LinkedIn, and Instagram strategies.
  • A good balance of data and creative skills - you can deliver insights and do the work to turn insights into results.
  • Strong understanding of how to use AI to accelerate SEO and Content performance.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
