Your New Role and Responsibilities

At Leidos Australia, our Matrix Engineering Team is a hub of technical excellence, supporting mission-critical programs across Defence, Intelligence, and Federal Government portfolios.

As a Midrange Engineer, you will:

• Manage and optimize VMware vCenter, ESXi clusters, vSAN, and related technologies.
• Translate customer requirements into detailed designs and supporting services for complex PaaS solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation for provisioning and orchestration using Ansible/Terraform; create reusable IaC modules and templates.
• Automate vCenter operations such as VM provisioning, patching, compliance, and policy enforcement.
• Produce technical documentation and provide subject matter expertise to resolve complex technical issues.

What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact

• Extensive experience with VMware VCF solutions, plus integration with networks and other services.
• Demonstrated experience in both programming and infrastructure, with proficiency in automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server (2012–2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and DFS.
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and ITIL Foundation.
• Experience with enterprise-level backup products and storage technologies.
