The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Asset Manager to join Crown’s Procurement team, leading the development and maturity of Crown’s Software Asset Management (SAM) capability across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and continuously improving Crown’s Software Asset Management framework, governance, controls and lifecycle management practices
  • Managing software licensing, compliance and publisher audit activities to minimise risk and ensure audit readiness
  • Identifying software optimisation opportunities through utilisation analysis, licence rationalisation, cost avoidance and value realisation initiatives
  • Partnering with Technology Product Owners, Enterprise Architecture and key stakeholders to support technology investment and application lifecycle decisions
  • Delivering reporting, insights and analytics that support governance, commercial decision‑making and continuous improvement outcomes

About You

This role suits an experienced Software Asset Management or technology governance professional who combines strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of software licensing, compliance and optimisation. You are confident working across technical and commercial environments, translating complex data into actionable insights that improve business performance and maximise technology investment value.

You will bring:

  • experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, Technology Vendor Management, Procurement or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of software licensing, compliance management, audit management and software lifecycle practices
  • Proven experience delivering software optimisation, licence rationalisation and cost saving initiatives within complex enterprise environments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, commercial management and analytical problem‑solving capabilities
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Commerce, Procurement, Finance or a related discipline, with relevant SAM, ITAM or governance certifications highly regarded
