Lead one of Australia's largest Defence logistics operations

Toll Group is seeking an exceptional operational leader to join our Defence Logistics Transformation Contrct (DTLC) as Head of Supply Support.

Reporting to the Vice President DTLC, this executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing and optimising national service delivery across Supply Support, Customer Services and Distribution Services. As a key member of the DTLC senior leadership team, you will drive operational excellence, contract performance, strategic planning and continuous improvement across a complex national logistics network.

This role leads an operational workforce of more than 700 employees across approximately 50 locations nationally through a network of Regional Managers and operational leaders. Success in this role requires a proven track record leading large, geographically dispersed teams, coupled with a strong understanding of integrated supply chain delivery within a Defence or similarly complex operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead national service delivery across Supply Support, Distribution Services and Customer Services, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, performance standards and Defence requirements.
  • Provide strategic leadership to a workforce of 700+ employees across approximately 50 sites nationwide through multiple layers of operational leadership.
  • Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement and innovation across warehousing, inventory management, distribution and customer service functions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Defence stakeholders, senior leaders, subcontractors and key business partners.
  • Ensure robust governance, risk management, safety and compliance frameworks are embedded across all operations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, financial performance and future capability development as a member of the DTLC leadership team.

What You will Bring

  • Significant experience leading large-scale logistics, warehousing, supply chain or operational functions across multiple sites and regions.
  • Proven success managing large, geographically dispersed workforces through layered leadership structures.
  • Deep understanding of integrated supply chain operations, including inventory management, warehousing, distribution and customer service delivery.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing operational performance, financial outcomes and contractual obligations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building skills, including experience working with senior executives and government or Defence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organisational change, build high-performing teams and create a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience leading complex logistics or operational environments.
  • Defence logistics experience highly regarded.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
  • Eligibility to obtain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (NV1).
