monday.com’s sales team is expanding rapidly, and we’re looking for a seasoned sales leader to head our Japan business. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and scaling our sales strategy in Japan, developing a high-performing team, and driving success across key business segments.
As a core part of monday.com’s expansion in Japan, this role will work closely with cross-functional leaders across Customer Success, Partnerships, and Marketing to execute our go-to-market strategy and deliver exceptional results.
About The Role
- Build and lead a world-class sales organization in Japan within a product-led growth environment
- Drive revenue growth by scaling monday.com’s presence and performance in the Japanese market
- Ensure customer-centricity remains at the heart of our strategy, incorporating user feedback into product and sales motions
- Identify and nurture future leaders while cultivating a high-performance, collaborative culture
- Establish best-in-class processes, playbooks, and operational rigor across key areas: pipeline development, conversion, forecasting, hiring, performance management, enablement, partnerships, and cross-functional collaboration
- Attract, empower, and retain top talent to support ambitious growth goals in Japan
Requirements
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience in B2B subscription/SaaS businesses, with experience in Japan strongly preferred
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams in a multinational or global organization
- Deep understanding of Japanese business culture and ability to adapt global strategies to local market needs
- Strong executive presence and ability to build trust with C-level stakeholders
- Experience managing complex deals, including contract negotiation and legal discussions
- Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and strong sense of ownership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Japanese (native-level) and English (business-level preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-growth, scaling, or startup environments
- Prior collaboration with global headquarters or regional stakeholders
- Familiarity with Japanese HR practices and sales operations
