About the role
We’re seeking a Group Compliance Manager to support the Head of Group Compliance to manage the compliance program across the Transurban Group, ensuring a culture of ethical and lawful behaviour.

As our Group Compliance Manager, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities by ensuring Transurban operates with the highest standards of integrity and compliance. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.
Day-to-day, you will:

Oversee the day-to-day activities and carry out second line assurance reviews of compliance requirements, including contractual, legislative (Corporations Act, ASX), and regulatory compliance.

Support the ongoing continuous improvement compliance activities across the business Prepare and present regular compliance reports to business units, the Executive Committee, and the Board.

Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance-related policies and procedures.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure ongoing engagement and effective compliance practices.

Work closely with the Risk and Privacy team to support and promote effective risk management practices across the organization

Create and deliver compliance education programs for staff.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

Experience supporting company compliance and governance programs (ideally in an ASX or highly regulated environment)

Ability to think strategically, connect the dots and communicate effectively

Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
-
Ability to review, implement and manage effective data management and information systems
-
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, ability to distil data into usable information
-
Well-developed technical, negotiation and advisory skills
-
Ability to establish credibility and rapport with people at all levels within the organisation
