Work Flexibility: Hybrid
The role
This role sits at the centre of how we deliver marketing and education programs through structured, compliant events. You will own projects end-to-end, working across stakeholders to deliver against clear timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
You’ll be supported and coached by one of the strongest leaders in the ANZ events space—making this a high-growth role for someone ready to take ownership and accelerate their development.
This role will suit a candidate who enjoys taking initiative, building strong stakeholder relationships, and driving outcomes rather than waiting for direction.
What you will do
- Own end-to-end delivery of events, taking full accountability from briefing through to execution and post-event outcomes.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders, healthcare professionals, suppliers, and external vendors to coordinate seamless event experiences.
- Build and manage event plans, budgets, and timelines, proactively removing blockers to keep delivery on track.
- Step beyond the brief to elevate event quality, execution, and overall experience.
- Act as the central point of coordination across vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless, compliant delivery.
What you will need
Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience owning projects or events end-to-end, with clear accountability for delivery outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- Experience in healthcare, medical device, or similarly regulated industries.
- Experience delivering conferences, workshops or multi-day events.
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Demonstrate clear ownership of projects end-to-end—not just supporting delivery.
- Take the lead to drive outcomes when gaps appear, without waiting for direction.
- Show examples of going beyond scope to deliver a stronger result.
- Navigate multiple stakeholders and maintain momentum despite competing priorities.
- Take accountability for outcomes, not just task completion.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene
Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
