Position Summary

The Graduate Finance and Systems Analyst role will be focused on ensuring management reporting processes are undertaken with a strong analytical focus and assist the Business and Planning Manager deliver a full budget process.. This function provides financial support and analysis to Area Management teams, Head Office Management and wider operational and sales team and support functions. Integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all reporting are of extreme importance.

This role would be suited to a Graduate with:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance (or similar) with a Finance Major and IT Minor OR/

  • Bachelors Degree in IT (or similar) with an IT Major and Finance Minor OR/

  • Double Bachelors Degree in Finance and IT

Responsibilities

  • AL/LSL analysis with month end adjustments

  • Support payroll team in journals, reconciliation, reporting from ADP

  • Support other area and project analysts with their month end tasks

  • Support FPA Manager with loading, adjusting, correcting the reporting forecasts/budgets in Tagetik

  • Learn all elements of M3 that have a financial impacting – invoicing, purchase orders and service orders and assist with trouble shooting

  • To assist in the provision and training to the wider AusPac team on ABI reports

  • Support Payroll team on financial reports from ADP system

  • Subject matter expert in Microsoft excel and Power query– assisting finance team and wider business on macro enabled reports

  • System testing of new applications and modules

  • Support Finance team with Management Pack and MBR

  • Articulate the actual and forecast result and supporting the finance function with providing reports from the systems – M3, ABi, MDP& Tagetik, to make informed decisions

  • Ensure there is appropriate and well defined internal analytical reports and tools

  • Aid in the annual budgeting process with ensuring system available, recommend improvements to populating budget tool, tools to provide analysis on comparative data

  • Develop  strong skills in Movex and GL impact to support the finance team, AR, AP and payroll.

What we’re looking for

  • Possess unrestricted, full work rights with no end date (e.g. Australian Citizenship, Australian PR, NZ Citizenship, NZ PR)

  • Note: Student and Graduate Visa holders will not be considered for this role given the limited time period of these visas

  • Completed a Bachelors Degree in Finance (or similar) with a Finance Major and IT Minor OR/

  • Completed a Bachelors Degree in IT (or similar) with an IT Major and Finance Minor OR/

  • Completed a Double Degree in Finance and IT

  • CA or CPA Qualified or working towards

  • Be system savvy and have a foundational knowledge of the financials systems to maintain and design modules and document process changes

  • Advanced level Microsoft suite skills

  • Previous experience (internship, work experience etc) in a similar role will be very highly regarded

  • Be proactive in seeking out information from a range of sources

  • Have strong relationship building skills and be a team player

  • Work experience demonstrating abilities to work in a team, with customers or in a corporate environment would be very highly regarded
