Job Description

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer (Front-End Focused) who is passionate about building accessible, high‑performance digital experiences. In this role, you will lead the development of responsive interfaces using React or Vue.js, ensuring design concepts are translated into scalable, reusable components. You will champion accessibility by aligning all front-end outputs with WCAG 2.1+ standards and delivering seamless user experiences across all devices.

You will actively contribute across the full stack, collaborating with backend engineers to integrate with APIs and AWS‑based services. This includes working hands‑on with AWS components from a developer’s standpoint—invoking Lambda functions, interacting with DynamoDB tables, consuming API Gateway endpoints, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines deployed through services like CodeBuild or CodePipeline. Automated testing will be a core part of this role, ensuring both front-end and integrated backend interactions are stable and reliable.

You’ll be part of a team that values continuous improvement, where you will help shape front-end architecture, streamline performance, and contribute to high‑quality engineering practices across the entire product lifecycle. As part of a high‑performing engineering team, you will champion best practices, optimise application performance, and continuously evolve our front-end architecture. This role offers the opportunity to shape user experience while contributing end‑to‑end technical expertise.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands‑on experience with React and/or Vue.js
  • Solid understanding of WCAG 2.1+ accessibility principles
  • Expertise in responsive UI development
  • Experience implementing automated testing (Jest, Cypress, RTL, etc.)
  • Practical experience integrating front-end apps with AWS services (e.g., invoking Lambdas, consuming API Gateway endpoints, working with S3 for asset delivery)
  • Exposure to backend development using Node.js
  • Understanding of information security principles, secure coding practices, and testing approaches
  • Experience working with REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Familiarity with IaC or DevOps workflows (CloudFormation, CDK, CodePipeline) is a plus
