CIMIC Group is seeking an experienced Rewards & Benefits Manager to design, govern and deliver a contemporary, market-competitive reward and benefits framework that supports CIMIC’s business strategy, workforce needs, and performance culture. This role leads enterprise-wide reward strategy, governance and execution across CIMIC operating companies, ensuring consistency, compliance and market alignment across multiple jurisdictions. Due to the nature of the role, the successful employee will be required in Sydney CIMIC Corporate Office. We are currently only accepting internal applications for this position. 
 

What you're responsible for:

Reward Strategy & Framework

  • Establish and deliver a modern, market-competitive rewards and benefits framework aligned to CIMIC’s business and workforce strategy.
  • Lead the implementation of reward strategies that drive engagement, retention and high performance.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on remuneration positioning, offers, retention strategies and market trends.

Remuneration Governance

  • Own remuneration governance, including policies, delegations, controls and decision-making frameworks.
  • Ensure sound governance, risk management and compliance across all remuneration activities.

Role Architecture & Job Evaluation

  • Govern CIMIC’s role architecture framework, including job families, levels and job evaluation methodology.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of role design across operating companies.

Annual Remuneration & Incentives

  • Lead the annual remuneration and bonus review cycle end-to-end, including:
  • Market benchmarking and insights
  • Financial modelling and scenario planning
  • Governance and approvals
  • Delivery and execution
  • Design, govern and administer incentive plans across eligible employee populations.

Benefits Management

  • Own and continuously improve employee benefits programs, including vendor selection, performance management and cost optimisation.

Equity & Compliance

  • Lead gender equity and pay equity obligations across relevant jurisdictions. 
  • Support regulatory reporting, audits and remediation activity as required.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead the Reward & Benefits team, delivering both strategic outcomes and high-quality operational support.
  • Provide governance and expert guidance to CIMIC operating companies.

  • Extensive experience leading reward and benefits in complex, multi-entity or matrixed organisations
  • Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-wide reward frameworks
  • Strong track record delivering remuneration reviews, incentive design and governance
  • Demonstrated expertise in role architecture, job evaluation and pay structures
  • Experience managing employee benefits programs and external vendors
  • Exposure to gender equity and pay equity requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial and business acumen
  • Highly credible advisor to senior leaders with a strong governance mindset
  • Hands-on leader capable of setting direction and building specialist team capability
