The role / impact
As the partner to our Chief Legal Officer, you will provide high-level executive support while driving the operational rhythm of the Risk, Ethics, Advocacy & Legal (REAL) team. This isn't a traditional behind-the-scenes support position; you will be the pulse and glue of the function, ensuring our leadership forums and communication strategies are executed with precision and purpose.
Your impact will be felt through your ability to manage complex stakeholders and anticipate business needs before they arise. By taking ownership of board operations and strategic planning cycles, you enable the CLO and the wider leadership team to focus on high-impact initiatives, helping Xero navigate a fast-moving global landscape safely and confidently.

You will join a collaborative network of executive assistants and operational professionals who value transparency and collective success. Working closely with the Head of Operations, you’ll help operationalise how our leadership teams function, ensuring the entire global REAL team stays connected and informed.
Initially, you will focus on
Leading communication planning for the Chief Legal Officer and drafting team-wide messages to ensure consistent engagement across the function.
Managing the lifecycle of leadership meetings and offsites, from agenda setting to overseeing outcomes and logistics.
Providing critical support for board operations, including the management of board papers and coordination with board members.
Supporting strategic planning cycles and helping to shape internal learning and development efforts based on your interests.

Your technical proficiency extends to G-suite and board management platforms, with an interest in adopting AI tools to enhance effectiveness.
