About the Project
The Southern Program Alliance is contracted by Victorian Government to remove most dangerous and congested level crossings. This is a critical infrastructure project with significant public impact.

The Position
The purpose of this role is to increase the industry skilled workforce and capability of the Southern Program Alliance (SPA) team by facilitating tailored employment and social procurement opportunities, engaging underrepresented cohorts and providing opportunity to priority job seekers and enabling the Southern Program Alliance to meet Key Result Area targets.
As an effective communicator The ICI advisor influences across the program to create effective change to social procurement and cultural practices. They are expected to provide tailored solutions to SPA resource requirements that promote the expectations of a Level Crossings Project.
Responsibilities
- Consult and establish management strategies supporting diversity and inclusion, with a focus on equitable policies and inclusive decision-making
- Provide guidance on the implementation of practices and policies to achieve measurable objectives including developing work plans to accommodate diversity
- Conduct organisational diversity, equity, and inclusion risk reviews, compliance reporting, and provide advice on practices to meet legal obligations,
- Promote workforce diversity in external forums, acknowledging and integrating community expectations and state-level policies
- Monitor the subcontractor workforce to ensure compliance with their obligations and to develop a suitable rectification plan where non-conformance is found
- Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders including within SPA, LXRA, sub-contractors and other relevant Stakeholders.
- In collaboration with the HRBPs and line managers, drive the placement and ongoing maintenance of interns, cadets, trainees, and apprentices within the Alliance, in conjunction with the resourcing forecast and relevant workgroups
Required Skills and Competencies
- Qualification in a related field highly desirable but NOT essential
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role
- Responsive to diverse cultures, backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, values, and beliefs, including intersectional identities and underrepresented groups
- Intermediate MS office including Word, Excel and PP
- Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle.
