About the role
As an Enterprise Business Development Manager at Zeller, you’ll accelerate our upmarket growth by prospecting, converting, and closing deals with Australia's largest businesses, franchisors, groups, and organisations.
You are an adept and highly experienced outbound seller who thrives on winning large deals and engaging in financial, operational, and technical discovery at all levels of an organisation, from owner through to the c-suite. Your pipeline will be primarily outbound generated, and supported by an SDR working alongside you to help you build a list of qualified meetings and leads .
You will bring experience selling payments, merchant acquiring, or point-of-sale technology to large organisations within the hospitality, retail, franchise, automotive, and services sectors, and an in-depth understanding of the buyer journey and decision-making criteria. Deals in your remit will be complex, multi-party, and require a highly consultative and solution-based sales approach. You are comfortable building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on products that require deep product understanding, combined with technical knowledge. You will be selling the integrated Zeller solution across in-person and online payments, and integrations (POS, eCommerce), to leading domestic and global brands.
This role is the ideal fit for an experienced, hard-working and highly successful outbound seller looking to make their mark on the growth of one of Australia's fastest growing payment and fintech solutions.
Role responsibilities
- Build a robust pipeline and target account list, and develop plans to win deals with leading enterprise businesses who are looking for integrated in-person and online payment solutions
- Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture a high volume of opportunities with mid to long-term deal cycles
- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close, collaborating with internal colleagues (Account Management, Partnerships, Marketing, Product) to help you progress and win deals fast
- Map out implementation plans for new deals won, to ensure an effective roll-out process to get clients up and running with Zeller products smoothly
- Develop relationships by networking with executive stakeholders at prospective clients and brands
- Work with company leaders across different functions (e.g. Growth, Engineering, Product) to lead complex product scoping and commercial analysis of your deals, ensuring profitability and payback
- Elevate product feedback and highlight revenue opportunities to Product and Engineering teams to drive product strategy that helps you to close more business
- Be a Zeller ambassador with the upper end of town through networking, events, and tradeshows— helping to grow our brand alongside your pipeline generation
Qualifications, experience, and attributes
- 2+ years of experience selling in an outbound sales role at an Enterprise level, working within the payments, point-of-sale, or related technology sectors
- A track record of exceeding individual targets
- Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
- An ability to understand complex technical requirements and craft solutions to address pain points / problems (utilising both Zeller's products, and partner products e.g. POS, CMS)
- You can develop and execute account plans spanning multiple business units across complex organisations and stakeholders
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, particularly for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders working across different business areas
- A strong commercial mindset and demonstrated ability to successfully manage and grow revenue quickly
- A competitive fire and desire to be a top performer.

- Strong organisational skills and super abilities to manage a large volume of tasks, responsibilities and deadlines
