We are looking for an experienced strategy professional to help shape the strategic direction of Cummins’ Distribution Business across Asia Pacific. This newly created regional role will work closely with senior leaders on some of the business’s most important growth, profitability and transformation priorities – from framing complex strategic questions through to recommendations and execution.

The role offers exposure across markets, businesses and senior leadership, with the flexibility to be based in any Australian capital city or Singapore.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Lead high-impact strategic initiatives and workstreams across business units, growth opportunities and new ventures

  • Develop business strategies using qualitative and quantitative analysis to evaluate opportunities, challenges and potential solutions

  • Generate strategic insights from market, financial, environmental, stakeholder and business data to support decision-making

  • Partner with senior regional and global leaders and key stakeholders to influence strategic direction and outcomes

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, resolving complex challenges and driving strategic priorities through to execution

  • Communicate complex strategic concepts and recommendations clearly through compelling written and verbal presentations

  • Lead through influence, providing strategic guidance on complex business challenges while coaching and building capability across project teams

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following: 
•    Demonstrated experience solving complex strategic business problems and leading initiatives through to execution
•    Strong strategic thinking, structured problem-solving and analytical capability, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and test hypotheses
•    Strong execution focus, translating strategic analysis and recommendations into tangible business outcomes
•    Proven ability to influence, communicate and present effectively with VP and senior executive-level stakeholders
•    Experience working across countries, functions and diverse stakeholder groups within a complex organisation
•    Corporate strategy, strategy consulting or equivalent strategy-related experience highly regarded, ideally within a similar heavy industrial or B2B environment
•    Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent preferred
