The Contract Specialist role underpins the sustainability and growth of EML Solutions through supporting the management of contracts and contract deliverables.  The purpose of this role is to work together with the Contracts team, operational business units, shared services and clients to support the implementation of consistency and best practice in the establishment, monitoring, and delivery of contract requirements, CPIs and KPIs. 

This role will be responsible for working with the Manager, Contacts to ensure organisational objectives are met, particularly in the areas of contract management, governance, performance monitoring and improvement and embedding a culture of best practice and consistency throughout the organisation.

This will be a permanent, full time position based in one of our NSW offices, although, open to Queensland and Victoria depending on successful applicant. You will have the option of hybrid working in this role.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drafting contracts which protect EML’s best interests and complies with business requirements and obligations, assist in transition of clients (in or out) and projects when required.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and performance improvement of the contract function. Oversee and deliver a scalable, efficient, collaborative, and best practice, customer-centric operating model.
  • Monitoring and reporting compliance with contractual requirements across the business and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Work with the reporting and operational risk functions to monitor contract compliance trends and utilise this information to support and inform business decision making and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the delivery of contract requirements within the Contracts team including contract and compliance reporting, data submissions, payments, financial and bank account management/reconciliation, documentation reviews, invoicing, etc.
  • Work closely with Manager, Contracts, EML Legal and the business units to support building consistency in contract deliverables where possible, whilst promoting positive client partnerships and protecting EML’s interests.
  • Participating in an environment of sharing knowledge and ideas to ensure continuous improvement within the team.

ABOUT YOU 

  • More than 3+ years demonstrated experience in a similar role, working within in in a fast-paced personal injury claims environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications such as a legal or business degree
  • Experience in the design of contract and KPI monitoring systems and in monitoring and assessing performance
  • Knowledge of personal injury claims TPA performance measurement and remuneration arrangements
  • Knowledge of compliance and audit programs particularly in the personal injury insurance environment
