About the Role 

We're seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer / Senior Technical Consultant to join Datacom's ServiceNow Practice on an initial 6-month contract engagement. 

This is a hands-on development role for someone who enjoys building quality solutions, solving complex technical challenges, and delivering great developer outcomes on enterprise ServiceNow platforms. The successful candidate will work across a range of customer engagements, with a particular focus on platform development, workflow automation, integrations, and HRSD solutions. 

Australian citizens with an active NV1 Security Clearance are required. 

Preference will be given to consultants located in Brisbane, Canberra, or Adelaide, although other Australian locations will be considered. 

What You'll Do 

  • Design, develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow solutions across multiple applications and platform capabilities. 
  • Build and maintain workflows, Flow Designer solutions, integrations, business rules, client scripts, Script Includes, UI Actions, portals, and custom applications. 
  • Develop scalable, maintainable, and supportable solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practice. 
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, business analysts, and customers to translate requirements into technical designs and working solutions. 
  • Participate in agile delivery activities including technical design, sprint planning, estimation, development, testing, and deployment. 
  • Troubleshoot complex platform issues and resolve defects across development, test, and production environments. 
  • Contribute to code reviews, development standards, governance practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Produce technical documentation, solution designs, and deployment artefacts. 

What You'll Bring 

Essential 

  • Active NV1 Security Clearance. 
  • Australian citizenship and ability to work within Australian Government and regulated customer environments. 
  • Strong hands-on ServiceNow development experience. 
  • Experience working within agile delivery teams and DevOps-based delivery practices. 
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work directly with customers and translate business requirements into quality technical solutions. 

Highly Desirable 

  • HRSD (Human Resources Service Delivery) development experience. 
  • Experience delivering Employee Centre, Lifecycle Events, HR Case Management, or related HRSD capabilities. 
  • Experience with CMDB, ITSM, CSM, and Workflow Automation. 
  • Experience working in Federal or State Government environments. 
  • ServiceNow certifications such as:  
  • CSA 
  • CAD 
  • CIS-HR 
  • CIS-ITSM
