As an equal opportunity employer that promotes a diverse and safe workplace environment while also being one of the country's leading and preferred defence partners, Boeing Defence Australia is seeking an experienced Senior DevSecOps Software Engineer to support the delivery and sustainment of the Wakulda Program.
This role is located in Brisbane.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and automate processes for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
  • Monitor and improve software development, testing, and security controls.
  • Analyze and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Promote quality, safety, and compliance across the organization.
  • Collaborate with teams to build secure software systems.
  • Administration of Virtual Servers, Active Directory & System monitoring
  • Fault finding and resolving ad-hoc problems to prevent system downtime
  • Implement new technologies and frameworks in the DevSecOps environment.

Technical Competencies:
  • Proficient in Hyper-V and VMM virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
  • Knowledgeable in DevSecOps practices.
  • Familiar with engineering processes and standards.
  • Skilled in writing Ansible Playbooks.
  • Skilled in maintaining Jenkins and Pipelines
  • Capable of designing automated software tests.
  • Systems thinking to anticipate impacts of changes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience in DevSecOps practices.
  • Strong programming skills and problem-solving abilities.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
Successful candidates must be willing to undergo the standard government vetting process (full life background check). BDA will sponsor and support this clearance.
