As a Clinical Onboarding Partner, you’ll be the dedicated clinical touchpoint within the Onboarding Team, responsible for progressing prospective participants who present with clinical risks or complex support needs. Your role is to conduct clinical reviews during the onboarding process — not to provide ongoing clinical oversight but to ensure participants can be safely and appropriately supported on our platform.

You’ll bring a commercially minded approach, balancing the need to uphold safety and quality standards with the importance of enabling more people to safely access Homemade’s services. • Provide clear, well-documented recommendations on client suitability, including whether to progress or defer onboarding, based on clinical risk and alignment with Homemade’s service model.
  • Partner with the Sales and Onboarding teams to support client conversion, offering clinical input that balances client safety, service capacity, and commercial considerations.
  • Escalate cases to the Head of Customer Operations when care needs may exceed Homemade’s current service scope or pose significant risk.
  • Ensure all clinical decisions are accurately documented in line with Aged Care Quality Standards and internal procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve onboarding pathways for clients with complex needs, seeking safe and scalable care solutions wherever possible.
  • Develop and implement clear guidelines for identifying and escalating clinical risks, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the onboarding process.
  • Provide training and support to the Onboarding Partner team to enhance their ability to identify clinical risk factors and escalate appropriately.
  • Balance client safety and well-being with commercial considerations. Working to find opportunities to create and tailor safe, scalable care solutions to facilitate onboarding wherever possible.
  • Develop and implement clear guidelines and criteria for identifying clinical escalations, ensuring consistency and accuracy in decision-making.
  • Provide training and support to the Onboarding Partner team to enhance their ability to recognise clinical risk factors and escalate appropriately.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with a current APHRA registration and a strong clinical background, and a demonstrated interest or willingness to learn and upskill in aged care environments.
  • Ability to assess documentation and client history to make informed clinical onboarding decisions.
  • A commercial mindset with an understanding of how risk, operations, and client needs intersect.
  • Experience in intake, triage, or admissions roles within health, disability, or aged care.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to clearly explain clinical reasoning to clients, families, and non-clinical team members.
  • Collaborative, solutions-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first team environment.
  • We’re a fast-moving startup, so you’ll need to be comfortable with shifting priorities, working through ambiguity, and operating without the structure and documentation you might be used to in a hospital setting.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms like Salesforce, Slack and Google Workspace.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
