The opportunity

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst that will use their expertise to help businesses make decisions through data analysis of trends and business opportunities using both standard and specialised systems.

Your new role:

Working closely with the Senior Data & Portfolio Manager, you will be a key member of the team liaising with businesses to identify key metrics and develop reports or business models to monitor trends on a regular basis. Using your expertise in data reporting you will determine the most suitable tool e.g.  SAS, SQL, Python, Excel, mapping tool, data warehouse, to identify trends, compare to benchmarks and provide reports to the business

You will:

  • Prepare reports on findings and makes recommendations to internal stakeholders
  • Use standard business models and systems to create regular and more complex business analysis models
  • Proactively maintain and enhance database tools to ensure flexibility to meet changing business needs.

About you

You will have proven experience in understanding data analysis and use specific tools to report, identify issues and provide optimum solutions to problems identified.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • Technical expertise in using technical tools such as Python, SQL, SAS and or excel.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools and data analysis
  • Understanding of General Insurance will be a plus
  • Ability to liaison with other teams with good stakeholder management.
