Working at Transurban is different; it’s a place where you can see the benefits of your work play out in real life, every day. We create city-sized solutions—building and operating safer, smarter, and more sustainable roads—to solve pressing transport challenges that are slowing cities down.

About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our Rewards Product Technology team, supporting the delivery of customer-facing digital initiatives. This is a 6-month initial contract with strong potential for extension, offering the opportunity to work on high-impact digital products in a collaborative Agile environment. The role sits within a cross-functional squad and plays a key part in shaping solutions that enhance our digital and loyalty experience. The ideal candidate will bring strong front-end BA skills, with a focus on customer journeys and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and document business requirements and user stories.
  • Analyse current (“as-is”) business processes and contribute to defining future (“to-be”) states.
  • Support Agile ceremonies and backlog refinement to ensure clear, testable, and value-driven requirements.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining Agile tooling (e.g. JIRA) and documentation standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing feedback and tracking delivery performance.
  • Support integration of new squads and promote consistent Agile practices across the team.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in customer-facing digital platforms and loyalty programs is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.

We offer a range of flexible working options, so you can balance your work and life commitments and interests. Have a conversation with us about how this could work for you.

We embrace diversity with a foundation of safety, wellbeing and inclusion; where everyone belongs. We treat everyone with fairness, consideration and respect, regardless of gender, gender identity, marital or family status, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, cultural or socio-economic background, perspective, and experience – whether they work for us or not. We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe to express ideas, questions and concerns.

We strongly encourage applications from candidates of diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people living with disability. If you require any adjustments or support during the recruitment process, please contact us on [email protected].

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
