Assistant Brand Manager - TOM Organic

At Essity, we are dedicated to breaking barriers to well-being and becoming the undisputed global leader in health and hygiene. Join our team in Springvale and contribute to our mission of enhancing health and hygiene standards worldwide.

About the Role:

The Assistant Brand Manager, TOM Organic, plays a key role in shaping the future of one of our most purpose-led and premium brands. You’ll support the growth of the Period Care portfolio (Pads, Tampons, Liners, Period Underwear, and Cups) across Australia and New Zealand, contributing to both local and global marketing efforts.

This role is about more than just execution, you’ll support, develop, and deliver marketing strategies that unlock growth in revenue and profit, using your curiosity and commercial mindset to uncover opportunities through consumer and category insights.

TOM Organic is a premium, purpose-driven brand with a growing and highly engaged consumer base. With a flat structure and collaborative culture, you’ll have a real voice and the chance to make meaningful impact from day one.

You’ll be supported by a leader who’s passionate about mentoring and getting the team involved in a full 360° view of the business. If you bring professional maturity, initiative, and a genuine eagerness to learn, this is the kind of place where you’ll thrive.

What You Will Do:

  • Support and help implement annual brand plans to drive sales, profit, and market share

  • Ensure activities align with brand positioning and identity

  • Support NPD from concept to launch, using consumer insights within a Stage & Gate framework

  • Support comms across media channels (TV/OLV, Digital, Social, CRM, BTL) and post-campaign reviews

  • Create engaging social and EDM calendars; coordinate with in-house design

  • Contribute to brand audits, research, and planning for 1- and 3-year innovation pipeline

  • Monitor trends and identify opportunities for growth and improvement

  • Build strong cross-functional and agency partnerships

  • Manage A&P budget effectively; look for ways to improve marketing ROI and minimise write-offs

Who You Are:

Ideally you bring 2+ years’ experience in marketing or a related field with Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline. You will have:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to track and manage brand performance

  • Proven project management skills with experience coordinating cross-functional teams and driving projects through to completion

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to build strong internal and external relationships

  • Commercial mindset with financial awareness and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment

  • Proactive, curious, and hands-on with a can-do attitude

  • Resilient and positive approach to challenges; team player with collaborative style

Experience using data systems like IRI and familiarity with the Stage & Gate process would be an advantage, though we are willing to provide training in these areas.

What We Can Offer You:

Our purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well-Being, provides meaning to everything we do. Join us to improve well-being for people and drive positive change for society and the environment. At Essity, you'll feel valued, empowered to grow, and challenged to achieve business results in a collaborative and open atmosphere.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
