Job Description:
The HPE Aruba Sales team currently has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced sales specialist for a Public Sector Territory Manager position. This is an ideal role for a passionate sales hunter and natural relationship manager. You will work across a blend of industries including the Victorian public sector. You will utilise your business development skills to seek leads and nurture new client relationships.
This role is ideal for someone wanting to develop their current sales skills with a leading brand, and a desire to work with a successful team with a wealth of knowledge to pass on.
The Aruba Territory Manager is responsible for leading pursuit within Victorian Government and manages proactive campaigns to build pipeline, uses specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Developing, creating and driving sales pipeline. Capture leads and use closed-loop lead management to ensure assignment and follow- up by others.
- Contribute to proposal development, negotiations, and deal closings
- Maintains knowledge of competitors to strategically position HPE Aruba products and services better.
- Use specialty expertise to seek out new opportunities and expand and enhance existing opportunities to build the pipeline and drive pursuit.
- Interface with both internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solutions development.
- Development of quota objectives and future direction for HPE Aruba.
- Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with clients, up to and including the C-level for mid-to-large accounts, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.
- Invest time working with and leveraging external partners to close the sale.
Education and Experience:
- Demonstrated success in achievement of progressively higher quota, diversity of business customer, and higher level customer interface.
- 5+ years of advanced sales experience.
- Extensive selling experience within IT Networking preferred.
- Growth mindset to meet business and professional development goals.
- IT Networking Government sales desired.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Considered an expert in Networking products, solution or service offerings as well as competitor’s offerings to be able to sell large solutions.
- Understands the industry and market segment and integrates this knowledge into consultative selling.
- Understands and applies sales methods and processes to define, plan, cost, resource, track and ensure successful pursuit.
- Understands the role of IT Networking and how HPE Aruba’s solutions differentially address specific vertical industry challenges as well as their cross-segment capabilities.
- Account planning and accurate account revenue forecasting skills.
- Collaborates with management and sales teams in shared accounts to ensure seamless integration of specialist sales with other sales activities. Cultivates & maintains positive relationships with customers to ensure account retention & growth, and positions HPE Aruba as the preferred vendor for meeting all business needs.
- Establishes a professional working relationship, up to the executive level, with the client.
- Demonstrates leadership and initiative in successfully driving specialty sales in accounts – prospecting, negotiating and closing deals.
- Demonstrates high service or product knowledge and professionalism in researching and sharing service-related information with account teams and customers.
- Understands how to leverage HPE Aruba portfolio and change the playing field on our competitors.
- Maintain expertise of industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner solutions.
