About Our Engineering Team
We rely on our Jetstar Engineering Team to deliver our superior safety standards, up to the second. They’re the trouble-shooters, glitch-fixers and tech-experts who make sure we take to the sky safely. Solving problems. Trying new things. Getting hands-on. Fixing and double checking. It’s all part of the day job as a Jetstar Engineer – whether you’re on the frontline as a Maintenance Engineer or in our Engineering Corporate & Support Team ensuring that we land deadlines, keep projects on track and work as a team to help us transform our fleet for the better.
About the Opportunity
Your new position as a AME (CAT-A) will see you performing maintenance activity on Jetstar’s fleet of A320/321. This role will see you working with a range of specialist teams enabling you to provide excellent engineering standards on a solid foundation of safety, quality, reliability and service.
Successful candidates will need to:
- Hold Australian Category A CASA Aircraft Engineer License with extensive line maintenance experience and sound knowledge of Civil Aviation Regulations;
- Demonstrates excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities within in a high-pressure and time-critical environments;
- Displays strong time management, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, effectively managing competing demands;
- Holds a working knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS), including fatigue management, workplace inspections, and incident reporting;
- Is comfortable with shift work, including permanent night shift where applicable.
- Possesses hands-on experience using TRAX (or similar systems), and proficiency with Airbus/Boeing manuals and Microsoft Office;
- Is eligible to obtain and maintain a valid AUS ASIC and ADA.
