As a Senior Consultant, you'll manage internal audit and risk advisory engagements, guide junior staff, maintain client relationships, and contribute to business development.

The Financial Controller oversees RSM’s finance operations, including financial accounting, FP&A, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, taxation, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. The role leads the Workday Finance module, supports strategic initiatives, manages partner distributions and welfare calculations, coordinates team resourcing, and develops finance staff. It partners with senior business leaders to deliver financial insights, planning, and informed decision-making.

Provide indirect tax advisory, compliance and consulting across GST, stamp duty, fuel tax credits, customs and excise. Deliver tax governance, research legislation and case law, manage client relationships and engagements, implement AI/automation tools, mentor junior staff, support budgets and timelines, and contribute to business development and internal training.

Lead development and delivery of complex financial models for transactions, forecasting, valuations and planning. Manage client relationships, coordinate project teams, present findings, and mentor junior staff. Ensure modelling quality and best practices while supporting business development and engagement growth.

Provide corporate tax advice and compliance across a diverse client portfolio, support M&A and restructures, review tax returns, identify tax risks, coach junior staff, deliver technical training, and assist Partners with business development and client management.

Deliver analytics for buy- and sell-side transactions, due diligence, carve-outs and post-deal value creation. Analyse large datasets to identify risks, value drivers and opportunities, using Alteryx, SQL, Python and BI tools. Translate findings into commercial recommendations, support corporate finance teams, mentor juniors, and assist with proposals and client presentations.

Lead and support end-to-end M&A and capital-raising transactions, prepare marketing materials, manage virtual data rooms, perform financial modelling and valuations, develop client relationships, assist deal origination, manage multiple engagements, and mentor junior team members.

Deliver business advisory and strategic outsourcing services including preparing financial statements, tax returns, management reports, reconciliations, payroll, BAS and superannuation reporting, resolving complex accounting and tax issues, client liaison, and producing clear workpapers and documentation.

Design, build and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making. Participate in client workshops, analyse financial and operational data, present findings, manage projects across engagements, and mentor junior team members.

Lead and manage corporate and personal insolvency engagements end-to-end, provide specialist restructuring advice, oversee compliance and asset realisations, liaise with stakeholders, prepare reports, conduct investigations, and mentor junior team members while contributing to business development.

Lead and mentor Business Advisory teams, provide strategic accounting, tax and commercial advice, prepare and review financial statements and tax returns, build client relationships, develop financial models, resolve complex accounting issues, and support client growth.

The role involves managing income tax returns, advising on tax risks, mentoring junior staff, and engaging with clients on complex tax matters. Senior Managers take a leadership role in client portfolio management.

Lead multiple internal audit and risk advisory engagements from planning through reporting. Manage client relationships, mentor junior staff, prepare insightful reports, and apply best-practice standards (GIAS, ISO 31000) to deliver practical risk and governance solutions.

Manage end-to-end audit engagements, prepare high-quality workpapers, identify and resolve technical accounting and audit issues, review financial statements for compliance, and lead and mentor audit team members while applying RSM audit methodology and quality standards.

Provide day-to-day support for audit teams using digital audit tools, design and build automations (Python, SQL, RPA), deploy and maintain audit technology solutions, deliver training and documentation, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate to improve audit data extraction, transformation and analysis.
