At RSM, our Risk Advisory Services team helps clients navigate complex governance, risk, and compliance challenges—and we’re looking for a Senior Consultant to join us either on a permanent, or on a 3 or 6‑month fixed‑term basis, with applications welcomed from Working Holiday Visa holders.

This role blends technical expertise, leadership, and client engagement, offering the opportunity to lead meaningful internal audit and risk advisory projects while making a real impact in a collaborative, high‑performing environment.

About the role

As a Senior Consultant, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, leading engagements from planning through to reporting and working closely with senior stakeholders. You’ll also support the development of junior team members and contribute to the ongoing growth of our Risk Advisory Services practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading multiple internal audit and risk advisory engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting

  • Managing client relationships and delivering practical, value‑adding insights

  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members to ensure quality outcomes and compliance with methodology

  • Preparing clear, insightful reports and supporting business development initiatives

  • Applying and promoting best‑practice standards, including GIAS and ISO 31000

About you:

About you

  • 3+ years’ experience in internal audit and/or risk advisory (professional services experience preferred)

  • Strong communication, report writing, and problem‑solving skills

  • Ability to work autonomously while confidently leading teams and engagements

  • Solid knowledge of governance frameworks, internal controls, and risk management

  • Relevant tertiary qualification; professional certifications (CIA, CA, CPA) highly regarded
